“Wine and cheese pairing by the sea” is a unique wine tasting experience which gives the opportunity to visitors to get familiar with local wine tradition and vineyard of Lemnos and taste local distinctive wines paired with local types of cheese and traditional bread, while watching the sun setting behind Mount Athos.
More specifically, the package includes the following:
- Thorough presentation of the vineyard, wine history and tradition of the island as well as of the local varieties.
- Detailed presentation and tasting of 7 local wines of five type of wines (white, red, rose, sweet and sparkling)
- Presentation of local kinds of cheese and pairing of them with the wines
- Selection of local bread to accompany the pairing
- Tasting of traditional sweets to match with local sweet wines, which the island is famous for.
- Full package with leaflets of the products presented in the tasting as well as information about where these products are available selling points
*Wine tasting is presented by Eleftheria Konstantara, who holds a certifcation in Viticulture and a W.S.E.T (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification (level 1) in Wine.
